So...am I screwed? Got pulled over twice today...

LOL pwnt! and to his response, 1mph over speed limit is technically speeding //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
I see no pwnt anywhere. if the OP came on and said he got 2 tickets for some mild speeding, I'd have a different tune. However 70 on an on ramp and then street racing to take off his edge is just sheer stupidity. Slapping someone must be like bludgeoning someone to near death with a lead pipe to you as well then, right? There is a reason for varying degrees of punishment, it's because there are varying degrees of stupidity.

Unless I'm mistaken, you couldn't have had insurance if your license was revoked. I could be wrong though.
i had a wreck in sept. of 2004 and i got the revoked licenese ticket in june 2005.

i had insurance the whole time even when i had my wreck. but my shitty hole in the wall insurance company ****ed up my paper work and i couldnt prove i had the insurance when i got in the wreck. so there for they screwed me and 9 months later everything started showing up b/c of my girlfriends lawyer. he figured since he couldnt sue the people that hit me for my g/f he would sue the person driving....me. its a really screwed up situation and would take ages to explain the whole situation. all i have to say is i couldnt prove i had the insurance when i got the first tickets. the ones i got for speeding, no insurance and revoked tag i had just gotten my licenese back and there was one day a few months back were my insurance payment didnt get put in the computer so they revoked my tag. oh well its all straight now and im only out $5000+ lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

I did have to walk and shit. After I got my car, even, there was a couple months where I had to walk everywhere because I hit a slick spot turning into a gas station and wrecked my car.
How fast were you pulling into the gas station? You must really **** at driving, so stop driving, or learn how to before you f-ck up someone elses life other than your own. I didn't read the other pages, but if you're getting pulled over twice in a day it's because you're a f-ing idiot. Shit, atleast the assholes I know that are like you, drive more safe for at least a few days after getting a ticket before they drive aggressive again, not saying that it's right, but at least they grasp the concept for a little while.

id go to state farm and get insurance for 1 month and then cancel it they give you a card that says its good for 6 months just dont get in an accident and youll be fine

I raced an undercover dodge charger at night. He pulls up beside me when im doin 45 and just sits right beside me taunting me like he wanted to race. I knew i could most likely smoke his *** so I floored it. Well he never gunned it and just sat behind me in the lane to the left for awhile then a see a ****ing x-mas tree of blue lights. Had absolutely no markings or visible lights. He said I know you were trying to race and Im gunna have to get you with the speed gave me a speeding ticket for 15 over and rode off.....I got real lucky

In a mandatory liability auto insurance state (of which almost all 50 are now) should your insurance get canceled for any reason - whether the company providing you coverage simply decides to cancel you because you're too high of a risk for them, you fail to pay the premiums, whatever, said company is required by law to report that cancelation to your state's department of motor vehicles.

Then you get to jump through hoops to prove that either the vehicle wasn't operable during the time you cannot prove it was covered by the required minimum liability coverage (usually 10/20/10) OR the car was sold OR you picked up coverage through another carrier.

If you cannot show irrefutable proof of one of the above three? Guess what? More fines as well as a suspended operator's license in most cases.

-1 Brightness Point for giving out incredibly ignorant advice and -1 Brightness Point for suggesting that the OP do something illegal when he's already got enough legal problems on his plate as it is...

Moron.

I was going with traffic, slowed down a bit to turn, and hit a slick of ice, tires lost traction and I hit a curb. Apparently that makes me a bad driver?

But I find it hard to believe that you think I should walk a 20 minute car ride, much less a 45 minute car ride.

I'm 18, and the car's under my mom's name. I MAY be starting to make more than $6k a year now, as I'm looking at a promotion, but what good is a promotion going to do if I can't drive to my place of work?

I'm thinking of taking the insurence off of it and grauging it up. It's not a special mustang or anything, but I like it. Good memories.

I was already setting aside money for a second car...but that's defiently out the window. Maybe put that twords an old beater.
Are these typing mistakes? You need to concentrate more on school and less on racing!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/graduate.gif.d982460be9f153bb54e5d4cb744f6ae8.gif Just messin', I'm not an English scholar either. But, it's not too late for you!

Do you live close enough to Norwalk to race there on Wednesday nights? It's a lot of fun and LEGAL!

You're pretty much going to have to take responsibility for your actions and hopefully learn from this experience. As you're only 18, you'll be past this in no time. You'll be amazed at how fast life flies by. In the meantime, try to get a better job and concentrate on getting a good education to better your chance at getting a good career. Where do you work now that you make so little? Could your mom drive you to school or could you carpool with someone?

As for the patch of ice, you live in OHIO, was that your first winter driving here? You were going too fast if you wrecked your car on a curb. Again, quit taking offense to some of the direct comments you're receiving and learn to take responsibility for your actions.

Get a slow *** car, something thats boring as hell to drive. I had a Civic and now an Accord, both 4 cyls. My parents minivan is faster than my car. So what do I do? I focus on what my car does best, gas mileage. When a friend brags that his truck dynoed 410hp and over 500 ft/lbs torque, I brag that I got 32mpg, see how it works?

Seriously, you can't change the past. Go to court, hope atleast one of the officers don't show up, if they do, plead guilty and ask about some sort of traffic school or something. Don't you think you should do whatever you can to help the situation? I'd shit myself if my insurance was $600 a month, I don't pay that much for 6 months.

Consider it a life lesson, if you continue to do it, you are dumb, plain and simple.

Some people have all the answers ya know.

I didn't tell you to walk 20 miles and 45 miles. Although, maybe you should consider simplifying your life for a little while. It seems to me you're neither responsible enough to drive safely and at least pay some kind of attention to traffic laws and basic safety, but neither are you willing to make the necessary sacrifices to correct your previous poor behavior. You're trying to find a way out of it so you don't have to suffer most or any of the consequences of your actions.

There are many many options out there for you, which you aren't interested in exploring. I can sympathize with making a mistake. What I can't sympathize with is a refusal to take responsibility, learn from a mistake, and make changes to correct the underlying problem, which seems to be your attitude and/or habits.

I agree with an above poster who took slight issue with your statements above. Sounds like education would be a great thing for you to concentrate on. If you're an American citizen or permanent resident, you can get grants and/or loans to go to school which should cover most or all of your expenses. If not, you can work a part-time job to supplement them, and get by. That's how many of us did it. You may have to scrimp for a few years, but I wouldn't have it any other way, now. I'm proud of the hard work I've put in and that I've never had anything given to me. I'm even more proud of the fact that I stand up and take responsibility for myself and my actions. If I mess up someone else's shit, I pay for it, no matter how tough it is on me to do. Unlike some others...

...like my brother. I gave my mother a car because she needed one. He came and borrowed it (supposedly short-term), kept it over a month, then blew the motor and left it sitting on the side of the road. She never got the car back. It also had my PikePass electronic toll device in it. When it was towed away, I didn't get it back, and eventually I was charged $125 for it, AFTER it screwed up my credit, since I didn't know a thing about it. Guess what? Did my brother have any adverse consequences for his actions? Nope. But my mom did (no car), and I did (screwed up credit). Sounds to me like you're the kind of person my brother ended up being. Your actions reverberate to others, and in the case of the behavior you seem prone to, they can be devastating consequences.

I'll go ask the family of the 19-y/o kid who was killed on a motorcycle a few weeks ago just in front of my house how they feel about the guy who was street-racing and ran over their son.

Awwwww, but that could never happen to you, could it? 'Cause you're careful when you do it, right???
