So a friend I built this 4th for is thinking Taramps HD 8000 2 ohm

2 alts, 2 optima red tops, kinetic batt, rockford battcap. He currently runs an Audiopipe APCL3000. He's been researching the HD8k and is close to pulling the trigger. AP voltage floats between 14 and maybe high 12s. Not the most efficient amp. Subs are HDS312s in a 4th blowthrough. What can he expect?

Ill mention it to him. Prices vary a hair. Any idea why?

As for the power, i figure 2k rated and benched to each sub. 13v @ 2 ohm should give between 12 and 1500 clamped. I feel like the Soundqubeds can take it. Im curious what people think about the output difference. This will be the highest rated amp I've ever personally installed.

buddy runs a popcorn sounds 6k to a pair of HDS315s clamped pretty high numbers as well. Didnt like it on super low rebassed music too much though.
