Which isolator

Any reason you want to use one?
Kinda told I should ..one battery to start car, and one to run the amps?

Is this correct ?

Hoping to stop my huge headlight dimmage and battery needle going up n down, and can use two different agm batteries ?

Thanks

Pretty much the only use for them is if you are playing music with the car off, so you can still start the car, which I never recommend playing with the car off anyways. I would just run them hook up the second battery in parallel and call it a day.

****..you really think so eh ?

Would I still be able to goto the drive in to watch a movie with no issues ?

Would it get rid of my dimmage?

Really appreciated

If you want to sit in a drive in movie with the car off then you do need an isolator. I would recommend a battery disconnect switch so you can manually control it.

The second battery would definitely help the dimming, but i dont know if it would completely eliminate it.

Could you link me to one of these ?

I don't want to sit with the vehicle off pounding my subs, and if I ever did it would be for a song tops!!

And I just wanna be able to watch movies at the drive in and be able to start my vehicle after like everyone haha.

Very much appreciated man !

Those still exist? lol
Haha well I mean we only go once or twice a year..but what if I'm sitting waiting for my gf at work listening to music with the car off..half volume or less of course .I just wanna be good..

Then yes it would work those situations. Of course in those situations I would just keep the car running lol

Haha right, ok so no isolater!

Now is there something I can buy or use to monitor WHEN I should start my car if watching a movie or something . I have a cig lighter volt meter..if this goes below a certain level should I be starting, and what level.

Also when adding second battery , could u maybe give me a diagram ? Both would be under the hood ..do I have to switch my 0g to back to the other battery, or just add the battery in and wire it to the other ? Would two runs to + - be better?

Also wanna do the big 3..do I do this to both batteries or just one .

Thanks !!!

You da best

If you connect your two batteries together, connect them + to + , and then - to - . Add this switch ( or a similar style switch ) on the positive side between the front ( Starting ) and the back ( Aux power ). Make sure the amplifier is only connected through the back battery otherwise it would still pull power out of the front battery. If you are planning to use this while the car is off i would recommend getting a Gel style battery ( Optima battery ). When you want to listen with the car off just close the switch then turn the car off. After you are done playing just start the car and let it idle for a few seconds then open the switch to recharge the battery back to full voltage.

In theory you can run that back battery dead and your starting battery will still be fine. But if you run the back batteries too low i would recommend getting a battery charger to avoid putting too much stress on your starting battery when you close the switch because 14 volt + 8 volt = 11 volt = not good for electrical system.

Connect both batteries with 1/0 wire for best charging. Run 1/0 from Starting battery (to power switch) to Aux battery to Amplifer in that order. all connect the + to + and the - to - .

The big three only needs to be done on the starting battery.
