snailshell plans *PICS*

So basically what everyone who's built them is saying it ain't that great b/c it is completly drive dependent and you have no height measurements or where to put the sub.
Who's saying it's not good?

There are no accurate calculators for mass-loaded transmission lines, for example, but they've developed quite a cult following for people that like their sound. Just takes time to tweak it. Same thing for a design like this.

DIYaudio would be a good place to go to get more info about how to tailor the plans to your own driver.

i didn't mean for it to come off as completly not good just saying for most people with the lack of the remaining factors, it would be tuff to do.

i've got another idea...if i was to wall it off at the b-pillar, do you think that would give me enough room for 2 15" horns? i got probably 9-10ft^3 in the hatch and probably ~13-15ft^3 in the back seat so we're talking about 25ft^3 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

dude, just build a wall...horn or no horn, its gonna be loud...If you opt to do a horn, i forsee a problem with how your going to be able to build the "port" accurately...

i've been thinking about that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif if i did a horn i think i would do 2 seperate enclosures, put them in the car, bolt them together, then build a "wall" cover plate...
