Okay so I had my T5002 hooked up to my brothers bazookas today. I have had the amplifier hooked up to them for a few days with the gain around 1/3-1/2 bridged at 2 ohms. So today he says the subs don't sound very loud and that his amp is louder than mine haha, so I turned them up until it was distorted and then turned them down a bit to make sure they weren't clipping. Anyways after about 2 minutes after sitting in the car, I turn off the car and head to the trunk again. This is when I see big puffs of smoke coming from the center port of his sub box. Which in other words I got the indication that the subs were about to be blown.
Anyways the subs still play fine. I think his subs can only take 300rms or something haha. Do you think I was just playing them too hard and the coils got hot?
Or could this be a wiring issue? I haven't taken the subs out of the box yet.
