Smart guys only: Recommend an enclosure for a BA G5

I want to hear your thoughts about enclosures for the G512. Based on the specs, does the driver appear better suited for a sealed application or ported?

What size for each?

Qts is right around the middle. Probably pretty versatile. I'd try a ported first though because if you like it, good. If you do sealed, you'll want to know how it sounds ported anyway.

it will work well in a large ported enclosure with a fairly low tuning....I start designs from the flat response curve and modify from there

4.5ft^3 @ 25hz is flat

I just picked up a pair myself...Might go with a set of the Boston gtr radiators so I can get more output yet maintain the sealed box size.

LOL, you are probably right about at least trying ported no matter what.

What I may end up doing is trying one sealed at first-- I have a well made box around 1.5 that is currently collecting dust. But very shortly after that I am going to pick up a second most likely and go ported with that box.

I would love to hear how you like them. I have been wanting to try this sub forever. For some reason I have always been reluctant to try the radiator (not that I know anything against them).
