Small Problem!

I have alittle probably and was trying to get some advice before i built my box. My Problem is i have a 99 grand am(peice of shit)and i am trying to fit a 4cube box tuned to 34hz for 2 type R 12's. If i build it the way i have it drawn out with a depth of 23'' it is going to put my sub only about 4-5'' from the end of my trunk. I was just wondering if that would effect the proformance in anyway or if i should scale the box down. I will also be using fatmat in the truck.not sure on the thickness but might make it closer to 4''.

i went back out and checked some mesurments and i don't think i will be able to get the box in.

how do you think they would sound if i gave them 3.5 after all displacement @34

do you think that .5 will make much difference or should i try to build the box in my truck lol=)

the box in the trunk of my 2001 grand am is 36 x 15 x17.5 and it fits in there just barely. had to removie the spair tire to put it in then. and then after the box was in i was able to put the spair tire back it

If its the 2005 model, try not to go under 4ft^3 net for 2 12" type-r's...

I think i have figured something out but wondered if someone could check some number before i build. was plaing to build today.

Trying to get 4ft @34Hz after displacement

Sub Displacement - 0.128(I think, type r 12"

External

W - 37.5

H - 16.5

D - 19.75

Port Width - 4.5

Port Length - 32.5

Port Area - 67.5 sq in
