Small *pop* between tracks, ground wire?

When switching tracks or changing CDs on my 9855, I get a small *pop* from the subwoofers. My ground wire is a little bit longer then it should be, but I never noticed this using an old sony deck. Only since installing the 9855 do I get this pop.
