Decided to start a new thread. the last one was getting abit long, and somewhat off topic (not complaining tho lol). At the risk of posting too many pics with too small of updates, I got a little done over the past couple days, and got my new head, so I thought Id post a few more pics.

Ive been sick, and have some real-life issues going on, so not as much done as Id hoped. Finishing up the beauty panels to cover the wiring. They aren't carpeted yet, and I have a few more details to finish up on it, but you'll get the basic idea I think.

I decided for a slightly less traditional method of covering the amps... leaving the tops exposed as well as the front. Better heat dissipation... plus I just like the logo's on the tops of the amps. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Yes I have panels for both sides, I just left one off for the photos. Here's the new head and a signal chain group-shot (c701 will not be used)...

The truck is my beater daily driver 1998 dodge RAM 4x4 quad-cab (yeah I know). Think I said it was a '97 in the other thread btw lol. The stereo system will be evolving. It will start as a 2-way fully active system with a pair of ID CD1pro horns driven off a SoundStream Picasso bridged and a pair of RE xxx 6.5's (original xbl^2 style) driven off a SoundStream Reference 644sx bridged (320watts x2). The Reference 404sx will not be used in this configuration, it will just sit there looking pretty or something. Later the front stage will change into a 3-way active setup consisting of the ID Horns from the Pic, a pair of Audax pro audio PR170MO's in the kicks driven off the 404sx, and 2 pairs of IDQ8's in the doors driven off the 644sx.

The subs are 05 RE XXX15's flush-mounted in seperate ported chambers, 4 cubes each tuned to 30hz. Subs up, ports to each side. They will be powered by a PG Tantrum 1200.1 to each, both birthed at approx 1550 watts (Im anal, I waited till I found two nearly identical in output).

Signal chain is (obviously) Alpine d310 to Alpine h701 via optical. RCA's no longer than 3ft long, Stinger Queen series. Power will be from a dual alt setup, stereo will have its own dedicated 260amp Iraggi full-size GM case alt, 2/0 power and ground cable, two Kinetik 2400's mounted near amps.

Here's box when it was being test-fit (sorry to guys who already saw this photo)...

Thanks for looking.

Yes the d310 controls the 701 directly, that's why I said the c701 wouldn't be used in this setup (between the pics). I orginally bought the rux-c701 when I bought the h701 (I was one of the first ppl on the country to receive one btw). I hadn't planned on buying a touch screen h/u. But after having bad luck buying used heads off ebay (2 bad ones in a row), I decided to splurge and pick up one of the last brand new d310's before they were gone. So now I either need to sell the rux, or hold on to it to make the 701 more valuable when I go to sell it.

Now my slow down is trying to figure out exactly how I want to wire up this stupid second alternator. That plus I need to do another test-fit of the box and nobody is around to help me lift it into the truck. lol

Cheers guys.
