I built my own box and it turned out pretty good. The only problem is a small air leak through the wire cap (or whatever it is called). The air seems to be through the place where the wire pinches in. I was wondering if I could wrap electrical tape (I'm talking about on the inside of the box) around the place where the speaker wire and plastic piece on the box connect then put silicone sealant over that. I'm sure it would stop the air leak but I was wondering if there would be any fire hazards doing this. Thanks.

go down to lowes and buy a product known as liquid nails it works wonders on cracks and air leaks, just don't get to crazy w/it and whatever you do let it dry for a day at least before installing it into your vechile, cause it does reek
