i have the actual length, width and heigth for the box i want...ut i have no clue how to tune it to 37hertz. how big should the slot be? how long should the vent board be? do you get what im asking?

what's your internal volume? (inside dimensions divided by 1728) then find a port length calculator online and input your numbers.

external length 32, width is 14, height is 15' its for a audioque hdc3 12 dual 2 ohm

thats just under 3cf not including port and sub yet. hold on, ill figure it out

with a slot port that is 13.5" tall, 3" wide, it would need to be 33" long for 37hz tuning, bringing the box down to 2cf net, still not including sub (.25 probably)

well what would you guys suggest? id like the box to be a little shorter and maybe deeper? i drive a 2002 accord and i want it to slide right up to the backseat in the trunk. i asked a guy about building me a box and those were the numbers he came up with.

all i know is i want 37hertz and slot ported

ever think about doing round ports? aero or PVC? you would only need 2 4" ports, 17" long for 37hz tuning. they will take up a LOT less airspace inside the box

about the round ports? pretty simple. you can buy aeroports online at Partsexpress.com or go to Lowes/Home Depot and buy 4" PVC, usually $7 for like 6 or 8 feet iirc.

as much as you want, thats not going to effect tuning much, except for the fact that if they are mostly external that will give you more volume inside the box. and if you do that, you'll actually lower the tuning a little bit.

so all i need is to build my box to the specs i have listed then cut out the wholes for TWO 4inch round pvc pipes that are 17inches long? and it doesnt matter how much of the pvc is in the box or sticking out? and this is the same as slot ported at 37hertz?
