if you go with 9 cubes...a 14.5" x 7" port that's 22" long will give you a 30hz tune...

What did you want to tune it at? If I were you I'd go with 8ft^3 tuned to 32-34 hz, but if you're wanting a really low tune, then go for it.

but right now its tuned to 33hz with 8 cubes , would it be louder lower or just more shakin and shit

21mm xmax isn't too low...1 3/4" of linear p2p throw...

its low enough for me to consider it low excursion and suggest less port area. i mean it wont hurt it by going with more port, but you dont need it and IMO youd be making the box obnoxiously bigger than it has to be. i wouldnt even use 150^2of port for a 05 xxx which has like 32mm. we were in the range of 70 or so for my buddies 05 xxx.

edit: yea definatly dont need to tune to 24hz. i say shorten that wall some. shoot for 32 hz or so. that sub has so much lowend you can get away with a 35hz tuning and not sacrifice low end

i was doin some calculations and if i go with 14.5 high by 7 wide by 9 inches long it will get to around 35hz

compared to what?

are you talking about tuning? port area?

if your talking about just overall, you should be just fine with 100^2 of port and a 35hz tuning and it should sound fine.

aeros would be great, but if you cant get them that cheap, the slot port is an cheaper alternative.
