I noticed on the webpage that the SLC265 are 4ohm .. could they be wired to run 2ohm? because im trying to look for an amp that can push 100watts to each speaker. I would need a 4-channel amp right? to push the tweeters, frontstage, and back?

I'm not sure if I really get what you mean... but this is how I interpreted what you said.

You want to run the tweeters on channels 1 and 2, then then the mids off channels 3 and 4? If that's what you were thinkin, you can do that. You would need to set the crossover frequencies on either you amp or deck to do this. However, you can't run them at 2 ohms.

okay thanks guys .. so if i get lets say a MTX 3404 amp. The speakers will be running on 50watts x 4 @ 4 ohm? will this be enough power for the rainbow comps?

if you bridge that amp to the SLCs, they will get ~200 watts and they would shine off that power. i had my slc's run off 85 watts and the midbass was very punchy. with that kind of headroom you are going to have, it'll sound awesome.

It sounds like he wants to reserve 2 channels for rear though. Unless I misunderstood the original post.

Drop the rears (or run them off the HU) and bridge the amp will work great as well.
