Cut a piece of card board 17" long, 3" tall at one end, 7.5" tall at the other, then measure the last side..........

Geez, you guys make me wonder how low the math level is in some states...........

Its pure algebra...(the 4th grade kind)

a^2+b^2=c^2

thus,

4.5^2+17^2 =c^2

So the hypothenuse of your triangle is goin to be 17.5855"

When building your box make sure you take the thickness of the wood in consideration...... and also make sure to cut the slanted piece on a correct angle so it fits nicely onto the edges. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
