I am fixing to run (2) Skar VXF 12's, 1 ohm in a ported enclosure. I am currently running (2) Skar SDR 12's, in the loaded enclosure on a Pioneer GMDX 971, roughly 1,200 rms. The SDR's sound great, but I believe the VXF's will be better. I currently have the Mechman 240 amp alternator, and 1 XS 3400 under the hood. Wanting to get the JP 23 amplifier on DFS for the (2) VXF 12's, would this be enough to power them, but not over do it? Did not want to go with a bigger amplifier, didn't think my current electrical would be enough. WYT?
They said the jp23 is underrated. I believe certified power was something like 2,300-2,500 rms.

The box will make the most difference. Looks like the VXF is 1500 rms so you will definitely be underpowering them. I personally would go bigger since box rise won’t give you the true amp rating.

SIA3500 or Cab45. I've never ran the Cab amp but it gets a lot of love. Your electrical is fine and you don't want to underpower those subs. Just buy one amp and be done with it.

The VXF’s are Skar’s best woofers. I’d put 3500-4000 watts net to them. Use their recommend box size, I’d do 16 in^2/cube of port area, and I’d tune those woofers to something like 28-33 hz, personally. I’ve designed several boxes for those, and they really seem to perform and make people happy.
