Naughtyca has a valid point. You guess constantly bash Skar for being Chinese junk, but Jacob has his products made other there and hes a car audio god? Still Chinese junk...

As far as being able to track someone down, its to easy.. You forget Kevin pays Goob to be here. Track isp, you gave your email when you signed up. Real name on your email? Check phone records and electric bills in the area provided by ISP using real name given on email. (Father-in-law is a PI.. this is the easiest and quickest route, lol takes maybe 30 minutes)

To make things worse, IF he did decide to go through and file a lawsuit he would most likely file in florida. YOU (the accused) would have to be present in court to have the lawsuit thrown out (because lets face it, they would probably just ask you to stop unless he could indeed PROVE you cost him potential business).

If you went to Florida you would waste money on travel, if you did not show up the courts see that as an admission of guilt and you will lose the lawsuit.. Just putting that out there.

We have our methods...
This day in age with technology makes things easy. It would simply be a lot easier for those users to delete the logo's they are using inappropriately but we will see how they choose to act.

Before anyone says side taking an what not.. No I am Not... Just giving a tad bit of advice.

Anyone can sue anyone over anything. Legal Fee's and what not will eat up a great deal of money. Example "we are being sued by (people) claiming ADA non compliance when for us to even get our Permits for building everything has to meet ADA" , " now we will end up spending well over $300,000.00 on these 8 cases just to prove we have complied with ADA"

So, if you want to keep going and take the chance of spending boat loads of money then feel free. Or just redesign the whole logo all together and not have anything closely resembling it. If you want to keep making posts about his past, screen shoot them and post along with them, along with users who have bought said items and so forth.. and screen shoot his comments about not loosing money but making more money over theses posts.

I have openly come in here to resolve any issues customers have brought up, and they have even posted on behalf of the resolution in the case there was an issue in the first place. Some of the guys in here just won't accept our resolution of these issues and continue to just bash Skar. We have made amends with our customers which is why we continue to grow strong as a company with proud customers supporting us, but with that said we do not want a defamatory logo floating around.

so what was the deal with you buying up thos pre order sa 8 v.2 subs and turning around and selling them for full price? that alone right there is shaddy as fvck and will never get me as one of you customers.

Figure each actual letter to be sent out will cost you anywhere from $500-2500. Traveling if they can get a junction to have it settled within their state. etc.. etc.. Lawyers hours to gather all data. another 10-25k just to pull their Ip's and dealing with the ISP's will take 12-18 months on something like this. Then if the ip's are giving to you without a court order they could sue you and who ever gave you the ip's... or any of their information... Just weigh out the lose and return on this. Even if you did win the out come will not be good, as you know with Car Audio, most of the people will be like WTF, Kevin doesn't have the skin to deal with a half dozen people making fun etc.. about him and his products..

LOL, you have absolutely no clue what your talking about. On a conservative scale, I'd say 60% of your rambling here is false! ISP's can be tracked without warrents. It takes minutes, not months (using goob's aid it would be free and not a single second of his own time), and if he files a lawsuit within Florida he has no travel costs.. ALSO he can have a claused placed into a lawsuit (similar to divorces, civil suits, etc. etc.) where the "accused" is liable for his lawyer fees as well. I like your law degree but you need to keep studying pal.

I could be wrong about this, but thinking back to my law classes I was under the impression that trademarks such as this (Skar Audio serial #: 85634118) were used to prevent another company from using a similar logo or phrase, within the same industry, that might cause confusion for the customers. An example is Apple audio and Apple iTunes. Different companies both using a trademarked "apple" name in the music industry. I don't think defamation , sander etc. applies to trademarks. A copyright infringement would be legit but the SKAR logo isnt unique enough for it to be awarded.

If you wanted to cover all of your bases with this you could simply change the logo to have a small (but legible) disclaimer below it that states that the above logo is a parody of the skar audio logo with the intent to express to others that you have in fact been skamed by skar audio.
