single voice coil and 2amps

what about a quad coil, lets just say for fun a quad 1ohm sub and you wire 4 amps one per coil, do the amps see .5ohm each?
NO, each amp see's 1 ohm.. the amps are NOT being strapped in this case

the same thing as having 4 - 1 ohm subs and 4 amps

WRONG! the amp will see a final total of 4 ohms, as the sub is a 4 ohm speaker, however EACH independent channel will recieve a 2 ohm load.

The same applies for strapping an amp for a mono output.

Each amp will read half the final ohm load.
thanks for saying im wrong when i agreed with the statement. but anyways so explain what ohm each mono amp will see if u have a quad 1ohm sub with 1 mono amp on each coil?????? do each amp see .5ohm????????

how are they not strapped? how do you get the same tuning from each amp without strapping and if you dont how does the sub not destroy itself?

in that instance your not strapping any amps like your inital statement

ive never said i wasnt strapping read more carefully. and again this it just a question for fun and just looking for a proven answer because if you couldnt understand what i said i belive and have done 4 amps on 1 sub with 4 coils strapped. each amp seen the ohm of each coil. so im asking what is the final load on each amp when you wire 2 amps STRAPPED on a single coil. is it the same as bridging? it makes sense but has anyone realyl doen this or have any real proof? just a fun question

how am i talking about 2 different things? my original question was what ohm do each amp see when 1coil is one both amps strapped? and then i used an example that i actually know and wonder how it compares

we told you the ****ing answer already. when you strap to amps to any load no matter how many ****ing voice coils it sees half of the presented load per amp PERIOD. no if ands or buts about it you god **** retard

thanks for the answer to my fun question, glad to see everyone has enough time to get pissed over a question thats looking for formula or some actual proof, because you said doesnt usually hold much value on these forums. thanks for your time

give me a minute i will make this all clear as mud for you in one moment im justthinking of how i can write it to make an elephant understand.. please be patient
that would be nice thanks

i have done 4 amps on 1 sub with 4 coils strapped
so your saying you wired all 4 coils together, then strapped all 4 amps?

NO you didn't, you wired each coil to a seperate amp, which is not strapping.

strapping is when 2 amps become one amp! You are mixing up your terms.

in this senario, each amp was recieving the ohm load of a single coil, since

the amp was not being strapped.

equivalent to 4 svc subs wired to 4 different amps...

so im asking what is the final load on each amp when you wire 2 amps STRAPPED on a single coil
that has ABSOLUTELY NO RELATION to the above question

is it the same as bridging?
YES. your getting close, keep up the good work

it makes sense but has anyone really done this or have any real proof?
people wire subs to amps everyday... not a big deal

people also strap amps to a single coil... not a big deal

if you want proof i'd be glad to snap a pic of me connecting from a sub to an amp

just a fun question
NO
