single vented bandpass trunk

I have a 2003 civic and I want to put 1 W7 in there. It would be in a sealed box and on the right side of the trunk, with speaker facing left. Would it be beneficial at all to armor the trunk,back of the backseat, and lid with MDF, then PUT A HOLE IN THE MIDDLE OF MY BACKSEAT (for a port)? This way the inside of the trunk sort of resembles the inside of a single vented bandpass box. Would this increase my Db's by a lot? I mean it would have to be a lot if I'm gonna put a hole in my seat.

No. You won't notice bandpass type gain from doing that to your trunk.

x2 build a bandpass with a semi (or fully) external port that goes through where you wanted to cut, assuming thats enough port area for it

A bandpass would take up more then half the trunk. I've build two of them in the past, I love that sound but I need the trunk space.
