Single Subwoofer Setup Advice

Get whatever sized/powered amp you can. It wont stay long cause youll want more... LOL Agree with a few on here, box design is extremely important. DVC versus SVC is usually better for louder. Make sure you match up the amp for resistance of the sub.

Ive heard 12" single subs set up properly before and are loud as fook!

^One of them... Amazing deal on awesome subs, you won't find them cheaper. Sell your kicker amp and get something that'll do 1k+@2 ohms

Yeah my single XFL 12 on 1.2k in a custom box outbumped a pair of CVR's on 1.5k in a Kicker brand ported box. Box construction is huge here.
