Single or Dual Subwoofer

I own a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I love bass so I had to add a Sub to my system. I currently have a Kenwood EZ 500 headunit. My Component speakers are stock~crappy. I have a kicker Ix-702( Beast) amp powering my sub which I just replaced twice. My first was a Lanzar Max 10" The second was the Poineer 10" TS-W252R. Neither of them didn't survive the wrath of the kicker. I currently have a Lightning Audio 12" S4.12.4. When I upgrade what kind of sub can can be loud but produce quality sound. I intend to upgrade my to a monoblock PA amp.
