Single din in a Double din ..** pic**

Ok if i decide not to go with a avn DD im going to just go with a single din HU, but the problem is they dont ( or i have'nt found a site that) makes mounting kit for my car .. 2002 mitsubishi diamante vr-x W/ infinity .. Heres a pic , just wondering since the top part is a single din and the bottom( 6 disc is a single din, Would it be possible to just take the top part out leave the 6 disk (dead) in the bottom and just flush them up?

i dont think the changer would work with an aftermarket deck.

Yea, i no id leave the changer in there ( dead ) to fill up the bottom space since they dont make the mounting kit:eyebrow:

there shoudl not be a kit. but a pocket...

well the kit is usually the hu slot and a pocket, below.. They DO NOT make a kit , pocket anything as far as i know for this car

it looks iso mount. with a pocket... pull the radio out. there should be brackets you take off the radio to put on your new one and pocket. iirc

With that Infinity system you'll probably have to do some sort of bypass of the Infinity amp, too. The mounting kit is just a universal pocket.

So somehow this will all work out and more than likely be flushed out pretty nice? Dam decisions.. Between the 880prs , 8445 now and the new navi next yr or wait a few months to see how the 6600 sells n works out for other ppl..
