Best/Most Reliable 2006 Alpine Deck?

Hey guys,

Well, I had a break in and someone jacked my Alpine CDA-9833. So now insurance is giving me $565.92CAD to spend on a new deck + installation.

I don't really like the glidetouch crap, but I have to buy one new for my insurance to cover it without questions asked. Can someone point me in the right direction? I need it to have an internal amp. I haven't had a chance to go to ABsound or anywhere to check them out in person, but I want to atleast get some background on the new Alpine decks before I go in.

TIA

Chad

the 57 would probobly be the highest of the poor quality 06's

my 9851 has been acting up lately, some of the bottons dont work unless you press them like 10 times in a row, and ive only had it for afew months and i got it brand new

While I agree that Alpine's 2006 line is considerably toned down on features (vs. the last four years), I wouldn't go so far to say as Alpine's 2006 line is of "poor quality." Their new 2006 units are just trickling in now so there's no emperical data or even heresay to back up if they are good or bad -- way too soon to know which will be reliable or not.

Past models such as Alpine's 9815, 9835, 7998, etc. have proven performance and features vs. 2006 offerings..
