Single Cab Ranger+Sub?

Well I should be getting a Ford ranger pretty soon and I definitely want to put new speakers and tweeters/a sub in it. Problem is theirs very little room behind the seats since it's a single cab. I know a friend who's pulled it off before but what do you guys think? I'm going for a 12" Alpine type R behind the seat.

well wat year is the truck?...the newer ones...i think 97 up have more space than the pre 97s (3 inches more if im not mistaken)....CameronB has a 94 single cab on here with a RE (i think its a SX). Pounds pretty hard...hes also had diff subs in it so i would PM him.
