Single Cab F-150 Build

i just used some 5/8 plywood and loctite plx3 or whatever its called from home depot. i painted it with some semi gloss blue spray paint so it didnt look out of place. be generous with the glue and be sure the wood is clamped securely to the wall for at least 12-24 hours after you apply the glue. buy some short self tap wood screws and clamps for your wire, and it'll make the install so much neater. if you ever get multiple amps just do what i did with the fused distro block and run one 1/0 ofc power wire it'll be plenty for what we use.
Gotcha, thanks man. Would there be a way to remove the wood and glue if you ever needed to in the future?

I'm gonna go ahead and mount my amp under the seat tomorrow and will move it to the back wall if/when I get another amp. Just waiting for my batteries, sub box, and one more sub to get here so I can get everything buttoned up. Then will decide if I need another amp to power my speakers. I'd prefer to not buy a HO alternator so I have to consider that as well.

Now it's time for me to research on how to wire up a second battery in the back...

Got my amp and wiring all installed. Put it under the front seat for now.

I also took off the back carpet to see what the back wall looks like. According to my measurements, the amp will stick out quite a bit and would be touching the back of the box. That area in the middle has the following dimensions:

Width: 7

Height: 13.5

Depth: 3

So I would need to find a 4 channel amp that would fit in there, plus the depth of the wood.

I'll look into those. I think I'll just keep the Crescendo under the seat and then mount a 4 channel
To the back wall. Do those amps have a small footprint or something? @Popwarhomie

I'll need some help with grounding my group 34 battery that will be in the cab. What is generally the best way to run a ground wire from inside the cab to the frame? Or is there a better place to do it? I have access to 2 bolts that bolt the cab to the frame. Would that be sufficient?

Super tiny and put out good power too. Taylor fade did a review on them somewhere.

I like it, and for 100 bucks my wallet likes it too.

Still waiting on the second sub, box, and batteries to come in. Pretty cool, I got the batteries at cost from my dad's work:D I'll be moving into an apartment this week so this build and everything involved with moving will keep me pretty busy.

I still need to order some wire, a crimper, ring terminals, and battery terminals to get this second battery wired up. I think I'm gonna build a little box to put the battery in and carpet it to keep it somewhat hidden.

Got some goodies in the mail today...

Then got the subs wires and installed

Getting this big box to fit in a single cab was quite the job...ended up having to take out the center console, remove one of the subs, slide the box in, stack some bricks under the box so I had access to the sub hole, then finally install the sub

Got everything installed and put back together.

I don't have the second battery installed but voltage didn't drop below 13.8 (usually above 14) on full tilt. It's amazing what a big 3 and good AGM battery can do. I'll save the second battery for when I get an amp

for the coaxials.

Didn't mess with the settings much...I'm hot, tired, and hungry. And that's a bad combination haha

The stuff all over the box is little pieces of speaker wire. I did all my cutting on top of the box and when I was done I noticed a crap load of wire strands all over it. It's vacuumed all up now though.

Heading to the lake today and will get a video after I play with some settings!!

After messing with the settings, I have a lot of flex on the front baffle. Good thing is CSCStang is sending over some pre cut braces in the morning.
