single amp vs dual amps

I was wondering which was better and more efficient. For example running a single 3000 watt amp on 2 subs or a 1500 watt amp on each sub. Basically single amp on 2 or separate amps on each. I tried searching for an old thread for it but I couldn't find one. But yah always wanted to know thanks

Single amp....with 2 amps....you would have to get the gains set just right,or 1 may put out more than the other.

Less power wire to run with a single, plus what @pickup1 said....

If you are. Strapping them then generally 2 will make more power from what I understand
