Single amp that'll do 150x2, 500x1 or better?

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but the title says 150x2 500x1 or better... And I'm not looking to buy used.
I'm thinking I'm gonna have to cave & go w/ 2 amps:crap:
Do you honestly think 125w per channel as listed in the PPi4125 will have any audible difference to 150w? If you think you'll be able to hear a difference, you are very misinformed.

i just got a RF power1000 30 seconds ago from the UPS man...im looking at the birthsheet...

108x4 @4 which will be powering an active front stage

and

918 x 1 @1 which will be powering 2 ID8s...gain turned down realllly low...got it here for $300 something shipped...it was an amazing deal

I dont believe I said anything of the sort. Thanks for informing me though:rolleyes:

One more time. I want 150x2 minimum for the front & 500x1 minimum for my sub. I'd prefer headroom, but just meeting this criteria seems to be a task for a single amp.

And I was looking for some suggestions, not a swap meet. (Isn't another part of this forrum dedicated to that?)

Thanks

I was having trouble with the same thing. Trying to find a single amp that puts out that power.

RF 800.4 ( 100x4 @4 ohm, 500 x1 @2 ohm) is what I was thinking of getting. Then realized I wanted more power.

Rockford Fosgate Power 1000 = is a 5 channel amp that will do 100 x 4 @ 4 ohm and 500x1 @4 ohm. (Under rated like whoa) http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Rockford_Fosgate_Power1000_25_To_LIFE/

Memphis Belle= http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Memphis_Belle_(Fultron)/

Alpine 4 channel= (I really liked this one)= (125x2 @4 ohm + 500 @ 4 ohm bridged ) Get this http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Alpine_MRV-F545/

Kicker SX900.4= (115 x4 @4 ohm, 450 x 1 @4 ohm) http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Kicker_SX900.4/

Kicker ZX850.4= (175 x 4 @ 4 ohm + 425 x 1 @ 4 ohm) Get this

http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Kicker_ZX850.4/

PG zenon 200.4= This is a good amp. ( 200 x 4 @ 1,2,4 ohm, 400x2 @ 2,4 ohm

http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Phoenix_Gold_Xenon_X200.4/

Zapco= To expensive but if you got the money it fits your requirements to the T (150 x 4 @4 ohm, 500x1 @4 ohm)

Bro, this is just my research b/c I've been thinking the same thing. If you have to get new then I'd look into the alpine. I was really looking hard into the sundown 4.100 but I didnt know how good only 320 watts on a sub channel would sound?

Just wondering if I could run my whole setup w/ just one amp?
comps: CDT ES620 ~ 150 rms @ 4 ohms

sub: JL12W6v2 ~ 500-600 rms @ 4 ohms

I see the Cadence txa-6004 would fit the bill perfectly, if it weren't so big & cheap. I'm looking for quality build & quality sound. And of course the smaller the better. Any ideas/options? Or am I SOL & have to settle for a 2 amp setup?

Thanks for your time
The Alpine PDX 4.150 would probably work great... small and compact. They are also under rated. Most of the birthsheets show much more than the rated power.

(my friends pdx1.1000 rated at 1180 on the birthsheet)

You would have somewhere between 300-400 watts for the sub and I dont think you would be able to tell the difference between that and 500 watts with a single sub

You should research reviews of a PDX 4.150 so you're not disappointed when you get it. Many call the PDX power hollow in the midbass-subbass region and that it feels like less power compared to a decent A/B amp.

You have to be flexible when you're choosing amps, and realize some are underrated, some are overrated but when it comes down to it, you'll rarely be using more than 10-20% of the amps actual rated maximum RMS power output.

My friend just installed a PDX 4.150 in his truck (replaced a rockford 501x) and I dont notice any deficiencies in the mid-bass.

It sounds great... its loud, and its clean.

I'm thinking of getting one to replace my ED Nine.4
