Single 4Ohm DVC Sub Wiring

So I ordered a Kicker CVR for the fiances' car..

I was thinking I was getting a 2ohm DVC, but instead get a 4ohm DVC.

My oldschool Kenwood amp (don't have model handy) I plan on using isn't 2ohm mono stable. (Runs fine, but overheats rapidly)

Would I be better off running it in stereo and feed one coil from the L and one from the R?

OR

Bridge the amp and run the sub as a 8ohm mono load?

I mean, I guess trial and error but I hate installing, removing, reinstalling, and possibly re-removing and reinstalling a sub. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I don't know if there's some typical percentage of max power at 4 vs 8, or if its amp to amp..

Just did a quick indoor test with a spare box..

Just comparing sound output with my ear, I couldn't tell the difference..

In fact, the more I think about it it should be the same.

A stereo 4ohm load should be the same to the amp as a 8ohm bridged load. Duh!
