ok so im thinkin about gettin the 8500 15 ported and wnat to know would this have the potential to get as loud or louder with than my 15in. CVrs ported of a bx1000D.

if the 8500 wont sound as loud will any of the other subs?

Ah man, go with something that has more power. The 8515 wouldnt be satisfied. Feed it more power! 800 watts. But out of those amps, I would say the Alpine or the Kicker because of the power rating. Alpine do their rated power, Kicker and MTX do a little over their power.

I can comment on the MTX and the D6 - since I own both

the DA has better SQ,the 8500 is definatly louder but has good SQ -

I like both for different reasons,the D6 hits harder,a real slam IMO

but the mtx is a brute,a real beast of a sub,great at high volumes

its also very heavy - like I said I like them both for different reasons

The D6 wants more power than the 8500,about 250-300 watts more

so depending on your amp you need to make the choice,over powering an 8500 is unessasary

its loud with 500 watts,if you want to feed it more its your choice of course but it will fly with less

But on this message board,kids are on the Type R bandwagon,which left me unimpressed when I heard one

i bet the 8500 would sound amazing and get loud... so it gets my vote... but get the type r if you want to save money... you wouldn't be sacraficing too much...

i think ill get the 8500 but was wondering would I be better off just getting a 5 channel amp like this: http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/2657 , or get a mono amp. ill probably get infinity 63.71 coaxs in front and references in the back. I already have a 2 channel that will put out for the 63.71 but want to know would gettin this 5 channel amp be better. Also was thinkin If i go with the 5 channel i could get the Diamond dual 2 and get 600w to it if the viper actually does it rated

Why would you get a 5 channel amp to power a single subwoofer? And if you want it to power your coaxes and the sub, forget that...

To run what? If you are planning to run a single sub on it, then no. If you are planning to run the sub and the coaxes off it, then no as well. Stick with the 2 channel you have and get a mono for the sub.
