Single 12w6v2 owners. A few ?'s

So I finally broke down and bought a w6v2... Im curious what kind of power you guys are running to the 12.. It says that its only 400 watts RMS... is that really realistic? I bought a Kicker kx600.1 for it.. My issue is that the amp is supposed to be 600 RMS at 2 ohms but the birth sheet says 754 watts at 2 ohms... is that too much? What do you guys recommend?

welcome....and it'll be fine. You most likely are never gonna realize all 754 watts out of the amp. But in any event, that sub will be fine

what type of enclosure are you running?

Im using a 1.25 cu ft sealed enclosure per JL specs.. About the amp though.. I am also using a RF 1 farad cap and optima yellow top battery.. According to the amp specs it 'should' hit the 750 mark at 14.4V. The farad cap is 16V nominal and 20V spike. And im sure we all know the reputation of the optima battery.

I still don't get my 10s, but if you look into the "recommended rms chart", it should be just into the dark gray area

im running 600 wrms to each of my 13W6V2's.....and they can take a bit more.

you are totally fine in a sealed enclosure-

the power handling is quite dependent on the enclosure type etc.

=) I bought the amp cause i figured it would be JUST 600 watts and that would have been money... and i dont really plan on beatin the block with booty bass.. that often.. lol im just concerned with overpowering.. shoulda gone with the 13 LOL..

I have a friend running 1 12w6 on a zapco amp, not sure which model cause its hidden and he is not here to ask, lol. he says it does around 750rms actual. it has taken it for over 6 months now no problems in a ported box about 2 cf tuned around 30. you should be fine in that sealed box.
