Single 12" Type R Box Help

Im going to be building a box for a single 12" alpine type r and I would like to know if this box from the Moe Lester Sticky would be good.

Or do you guys think that one of the smaller box's would be better. I am also considering inverting the sub.

do search man there have be tons of post about the same setup. but something around 2.25cuft tuned to the low 30's should be fine.

i had my type Rs in 2.2 cube box at 32hz with 26 sq inches of port... and those were **** loud boxes... i would look around before u pick one..

i did a quick search but most of them were for 2 12" subs.

Ctminime do you think I should build 2.2 cube box then. Also thinking about inverting the sub.

i just built that box. just got done with it iam not saying it dont pound but it dont sound much better than my shitty sealed box. but then again my amp is pretty small for a type r hopefully its just my amp. my amp is kenwood 8152d if this helps. ill sell it to u 25+ ship if interested, ur just paying for wood. its my first box though

2.2-2.5 cubes. I wouldn't tune below 34hz if you want it to get loud. My buddies 12" type R was in a 2.4 cubic foot box tuned to 32hz off 800-900 watts realistically and i was very unimpressed. It peaked off horribly after 50hz as well. I say tune the box a tad higher and see if that hits the sweet spot.

i would say in the mid 30's, maybe even high 30's

Do 35hz. These R's aren't great at lowend output, so don't waste time trying to make em do it by tuning low.
