Single 12" ported box help

Guys im going to design my own 12" ported box, here is the specs of the speaker im making it for..

Subwoofer Size: 12"

RMS Power Handling: 500 watts

Impedance: 4 ohms

Dual Voice Coil: Yes

Top Mount Depth: 6-3/10"

Cutout Diameter: 11-1/10"

Xmax:16mm

Please help me design a single 12" subwoofer ported box..

its for my 18th birthday and my dad and i would like to make it, so any help is GREATLY appreciated.

I want the bass to sound like thunder, low strong, i want this to bang..

i dont need exact figures, i just want a general idea, what size should the box be for this sub? and how should i make the ports?
