single 12 in reg cab opinions

Fi over DD for Sound quality. Either sub is capable of getting loud on that power, even a kicker CVR would work out pretty well.

Why respond when you didnt even read the OP post? with such vague info as well.

well we had to weld on some new brackets to the center consol to move it forward a couple of inches and had to gut the truck to get the box in....but we could have just made it a little wider and not so deep and it probably would have fit with no adjustments....
Yeah, I remember seeing your build. It was a nice build imo. When I made my box, the area behind the passenger is 6" at the top and 10" at the bottom. The section behind the center console is 4" at the top and 8" at the bottom. This is all air space for the sub. Them behind the driver I just continued the 4" 8" configuration except left it open, which is where I mounted my amp. All of the wires are fed behind the box, so everything is discreet. I have now built 2 boxes for other kids, and have 3 more lined up. Luckily my school just got a CNC machine, so it will be a piece of cake to make boxes.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif:)

I actually have a 99 Dodge reg cab with a Bl 12 behind the seat. It is powered by a Powerbass ASA1500.1, and is sitting in a 2.4 cube box tuned to 30 hz. I didn't have to move the seats forward or anything, and it still fits good. Oh and by the way, it absolutely pounds. I cant wait to get it on the meter, but that will probably be another month away.
got any pics of that installed??...are those just two 4" aeroports??....

i sure would like to know what kinda numbers you hit off that setup, as its very much what i had in mind...

thats a sht load of power you got on that sub tho...how long you been running it on that?

that box is ported and they make it in a 12 inch version just google that model number with 12 instead of 10 in it
ok it is in fact ported, but they are kinda vague on specs.....give the outside dimentions (i didnt do the math but im guessing like 2cubes TOPS) and make no mention of the size of the port, tuneing ect.....

i imagine this box would fit real nice and all, but if i'm gonna toss a 200$+ sub in it and feed it 1k of power, i would like to know a little more....could not find more specs tho...??

What do you guys think?

Oh, and by the way, the sub does not hit the sit. It still has about 1/4" between the sub and the seat at full excursion.

how many cubes is that again???....looks like it wangs like a summa*****!! i would not need the step down you did as i have a bench seat, so i was thinking slot port.....any benefit to that?? my amp is under the passenger seat , so i could actually use the whole back too....i want a setup that will utilize the whole space, be ported and slam wang hard.....but still have some sembalance of sq to boot....i like that setup tho.....looks nice as hell....

i guess you had to remove everything to get it in because of the center console???...i'm going to rammat all the panels before i am done, so i guess it dont matter, as i will have everything out anyway.....

anyone else running this kinda setup that wants to share pics and give me ideas.....???? come on, hook a brother up....lol

I'm not for sure if there is any benefit to having slotted port over aero. I've heard aero will get slightly louder, but in my case, it was easier for me to buy a port that I had the option of tuning (changing the tube length), and was easier to install. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif When I installed it, I had to remove everything only because I could not screw the sub into the box with the passenger seat in, so I just took everything out. With the seats all in, I could actually slide the box straight down behind the seats with not problem. And thanks alot for the compliments. Many people have told my that I did an awesome job on it. One of my main points in making this box was to have it look factory, which I did by carpeting it the same as my interior, and by going up to the step back that is on the back wall on my cab (you might be able to see it in the pictures).

But thanks again for your comment. I really appreciate it. And for being only 17, I'm pretty amazed it turned out this good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
