Singer Alternator not fitting.

Alrighty, 2001 honda civic sedan ES1. Singer 320 Amp alternator. Came with a black bracket for the bottom and a spacer for the top. Was suggested to get a smaller belt by other people but it won't even go on with the factory size belt. Bottom brackets do not line up at all. Don't really know what to do. Pics

Bottom where neither pieces will line up. Black bracket sits on top of a/c compressor and oem bracket hits alt case if tilted up.

Start fabbing **** up till you get a good fitment. Definitely contact Singer.
I shot him an email. Will probably mess with it more in the morning, might try to flip the bracket. I know someone else mentioned having issues with theres but couldn't remember how they ended up getting it on.

Contact a machine shop. See if anything can be done. A short aluminum block from bottom of bracket on alt to bottom of attachment point may work

Did you contact them 1st before you ordered that alt?
Yes, filled out the vehicle order form on SHCA website.

Got it in and mounted with a 40 inch belt, still seems like its in real awkward ( PCM plug is practically on the radiator fan blade too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif ). Wont be able to start it until the morning once I get some 8 awg for the factory wire extension and power wire in 4/0 ran to batt.

Most don't. Unless they get year or engine wrong some alts need a 5" piece of metal to swing the alt out a bit. To make room for a larger case. But mike would tell you that , if that was the case if you bought from him or myself direct That's how we figure out the best option for your car. But since you went thru shca. You need to call them

I moved up in size to a 40 inch belt to get it to swing out more, still seems oddly close to the rad fans like the plug is within the fan shroud. I contacted mike and sent some pics to him and Ill do the same to shca to double check that its the correct one.

I had to cut the fan shroud out a bit to get the belt adjusted. There's not much room in mine but once I cut that piece a bit I got it adjusted. I've had mine like that for a couple years and no problems.
