Since when did how much your ****** car flops around determine if you were loud?

Whats with this whole "flex" deal? None of my cars flex the windshield and im running over 6kw in a wall in one of my rides, does that mean im not loud? But yet your ****** honda or toyota flexes the roof 2 inches on 500w so thats cool?
I hate flex vids...I want to see the woofer in action.

Buck makes a very good point. When the panel is flexin and floppin around, its not holding the sound energy in the cabin. The energy is wasted in making the panel flex and not pressurizing the inside of the cabin (as much).

There is a reason that competition vehicles in the 160+ range have very little flex even when 20KW+ are being thrown at them. Some are even concrete lined to help prevent flex and add mass to the panel/vehicle.

None of that foreplay, going for that straight up money shot!

flex is dumb, to me it looks like a flaw and possible pressure loss in a vehicle thus resulting in lower scores.... its much more impressive to have a vehicle that doesnt flex an inch put down high numbers.

Well hell, look at Alan Dante's Volvo. It's a rolling bunker

You can stand right next to Dante's or Butler's vehhicles when they are doing 180+ and not even hear them bishes. A vid of thier ***** would be boring as hell until you turn the camera to the TL screen.

Flex means doo doo to me, but the chil'ren likey the videos and flex is just about the only entertaining thing about a stoop CA vid. Why do you think so many ***** start "how can I does teh hairtricks?" threads.

About the only thing that flexes in my vehicles is the windshield and the steering wheel.

Its rigs like that which turn me off to the SPL competition scene. I would be hard pressed to consider that thing a real world vehicle anymore. Why dont we just get it over with, attach 4 wheels to the bottom of a giant bank vault, call it a car, and compete.

I dont get any flex other than my trunk lid and rear deck with 3 SA 8s on 1700W.

Like others said, you already know its impossible to tell how loud a system is on youtube because you can't actually be there in the car and hear it. But you see some serious flex..and first thing you think is dayiuuummmm that must be loud.
