Sub Amp-Clarion DPX 1000.2

Putting 2 RE 12 (4ohm DVC) this is how im going to wire them

2_4ohmDVC_4ohm.gif

My amp is

250x2 into 4ohms

450x2 into 2ohms

1000x1 into 2ohms

So if I wire the subs like I showed you and bridged it to the amp I would get about 500 to both subs or 250 to each, right?

>>>>>>Is it okay to bridge it with 4 ohms?

Thanks You So Much!

Leaving Tomorrow for vacation and need some bass!

ok bro...each sub will be wired down to 2 ohms, then youll bring them together for a 1 ohm load but hmmm.....crap you can bridge them to a 4 ohm load but youd prolly be ok, or run a sub to each channel, also whats the power handling...???

450x2 @2ohms means 900 watts x1 @4ohms bridged

The subs will share 900 watts.

A bridged 4 ohm load is the same as a stereo 2ohm load except the signal is mono.

In short, yes it will work.

Just wire them exactly as illustrated in your sample.

the RE 12's are DVC 4 ohm with 175rms/250 max

If i wire it like above it will be 4 ohms, then I bridge it with the 4 ohms. is that allright for a amp?

i know going lower than recoomended like 1 ohm is very bad, i was wondering if going higher would be bad also
