I don't think taking a picture of the theif will do you any good. The police aren't going to make an effort to compare that photo with their entire database of mugshots for a couple hundred bucks of stereo equipment. A Picaso painting yes, car audio no. Steve Meade had video evidence, and that did little to no good. Sure you'll know how he looks, but the world is a big place, and the likely hood of you ever finding that person is slim. That alarm is more of marketing and gimick than anything. You've been debating this topic for months now, and everyday that passes is potentially a day a theif may come and get your unprotected gear.
