silly alternator question

ok i have a 200 amp alt for my 95 jeep grand cherokee. it has this stupid *** boot on the power terminal and i can only fit a 4 gauge wire on it but i wanted to do my big 3 in 1 guage. what the hell do i do?

Chop it off...that's what i did. I chopped off the little plastic boot, then when i put the 1/0 awg to it, i taped it up real good w/ electrical tape. peace

Well, if yours is like my mean-green...it's just a little plastic thing...i took a pair of dikes and snipped the shit out of it. Just take whatever you got and chop the shit out of it...lol...peace
