Metal-dome and silks are the most common...

As to which ones you prefer, best to get out there and listen to them.

yea as stated above, silks and metal are most common. in general silks are a little more warm sounding and smoother and metal is a lil bit more detailed but can be more harsh as well.

true...silks are much smoother response, the titaniums are a bit harsher.

i have aluminum tweet in my memphis pr's 6.5 2ways, i had some soundstream 3ways with silk and i liked them alot better, like ppl have said metal ones are a harsh, you will hear like a ringing sound at high volumes
