hi i have about 900 watts rms to run on one of these subs and i was wondering which one of these drivers would sound the best and get loudest? both sites reccommend a 3.5 cf box tuned to 30 hz...im thinkin the mag would get louder but the brahma is cheaper and im sure isnt to far behind in output can u guys help thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ive sent emails to them and they said with a ported box and 600 watts would be enough for the brahma...should i give it more?

Mag will be louder, I dunno which will sound better... but I'd lean on the Brahma for the SQ side of things...

mag is gonna sound better b/c the new brahmas appear to be parts wiggins had laying around thrown to gether so he can make money... thats just from looking at his latest line of subs

The new Brahma's have smaller coils and motors on them compared to the older Brahma's, hence the lower power handling. The new Mag's will be significantly louder than the new Brahma's.

According to Wiggins, the surface area on the coils of the new Brahmas is bigger than that of the older gens resulting in better thermal power handling actually.

I think the reason they don't recommend throwing lots of power at the drivers is because of their mechanical limits. They reach peak excursion without much power and people break them easily by just throwing a shit ton more power than necessary.

This is all my interpretation of what Wiggins has said though, I dunno for certain because I haven't had the pleasure of messing with the new Brahmas yet.

Wiggins always seems to have a few tricks up his sleeve but if it comes up in conversation tell him I'd like to see our drivers go head-to-head in the SPL lanes.

Wiggin's can talk, but thats about where it stops. We have heard all kinds of false promises. I say put them subs head to head and we can see what the people/meter say.
