Coming from an L7, I think the Q will have plenty of SQ. I am hoping that the Q has more output with 1200w, compared to my L7 with 600-700W though.

L7s handle 1k L5's handle the power u said

My 12" 04 L7 would blow if I gave it 1000w. No doubt in my mind.

I've never heard anything about the effciency of FI Q. Any comments? Effciency as in Power to Outpu ratio.

the mags are very efficeint, i believe the Q is as well. i know for sure on the mag if you give them 900watts it sounds like a 1200watts given to an SX

They seem close in design.

That is what I am looking for. An efficient woofer that puts out and sounds good with ~1200w.

If the Q sounds "good" compared to the mag then I'm perfectly happy. As long as it has more output on 1200w than an L7 on 700w then I'm very happy. L7's have no low end. What can you say about the low end on a Q in 2.9cu @ 30hz w/ 40" of port box?

The L7 is long gone.

The Excursion was intense on the L7, I dont think it coulda taken anymore. The were weird sounds coming from it. Maybe other L7's, but not mine.
