Showing off some custom 360 cases I've done

I was saying 220 is steep to people on here, considering the amount of work most of us do with our own vehicles. 100 would be a believable price. But people that dont know shit except how to play the xbox would probably pay that much.

Yeah i agree with you. That why I said $220 was an extreme. This guy had me do everything to his xbox except marry it and have kids...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif Trdoc is probably only thinking of the outter case, but it takes time to wire, install, remove and soilder lights, disassemble just about "every" piece of the case, face plate, hdd, cut a detailed design, putty to fill in imperfections, sand, clean, paint several coats, clear several coats (paying attention to every litttle crack and crevice), sand out any imperfections, paint and clear again, then reassemble.

And thats just the process for a simple case mod.

I have pulled apart several Xboxs to work on the insides, specifically cooling issues. I know what's involved. I do realize how much time it takes to do certain things like paint, filling, soldering etc... I was just offering my opinion. I said I'd never pay that much to mod a box that is in it's very design a PoS and will likely die sooner than later. Not to mention that the platform is now what, 3 years old? And you're talking about spending as much on the mod as on the platform.

To each their own, and if you find suckers who want to spend that kind of money, go for it.

Cool idea for sure. But not to be a negative nancy the edges of the cutting needs more work. They need to be smoothed out more or something.
I agreed with this as well but didn't want to bring it up. Honestly, the Dremel work isn't up to par on some of those things... maybe that was his earliest work, but if I paid $200+ for that kind of stuff, it'd better be done by CNC. Just my NSHO.

i just dont get the point of it. who sits there and stares at their xbox all day? it would get old after looking at it for a minute.
some people could say the same thing about modding a car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
