That's going to be one hellatious wreck to make batteries fly in the air.
70lb batts at even say 20mph is still alot of energy, up that to 60 or 70mph and //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

understood. shit cant go far anyways. it's surrounded by shit all wedged in there...

I think we all will agree that 70lb batteries need secured in case of an accident. But the reality is there are much more important thing to worry about. The way that JCO strapped his in may not be perfect, but he has done more than most do. Yes in a violent crash the strap may break and his battery will come loose. But don't you think that in that same crash, the battery may stay in place, but the car might get crushed INTO the battery? Can't save yourself there. There is always SOME inherent risk involved when you modify your car. The additional weight of the audio system far outweighs the danger of his pipe strap.

Yah, it sure will prevent the battery from shorting itself... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
Also...have a fuse near the rear battery on the input wire coming from the front battery?

nG
every wire you see there is fused ~18" off the battery. to include the one from the front battery (which has a fuse under the hood also)

i just fingured out that the yellow extra piece with my optima was to put under it so its tall as my stock battery //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif now i have my stock clamp holding down the front batt its scary close to the terminals but its plastic dipped and electric taped so i should be safe
