solder isnt a good conductor. if you look on the aq site it tells you twist wires togehter and use wirenuts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

please read this http://www.audioque.com/aq/leadwire.htm
So you're saying that audioque doesn't use solder inside the amplifier? The very terminals the wires we're talking about go into the circuit board of their amplifiers and just twist copper together? WOW! That's amazing!

No... they don't. When soldering, first you twist the copper conductors together. Then you heat the wires and the solder flows into there. The wires are not separated by the solder even a millimeter. Solder creates more surface area and creates a great, solid connection. AQ can say whatever they want, but for the absolute best connections people always solder because it is simply the best. I'm glad you read what you read, but I don't think many people will agree with you because it's illogical. Maybe if you use the lead-free solder like the liberals want you to use it's not very conductive, but tin and lead solder is highly conductive.

This, as well.

like DOA says strip them at 1 1/2 inch and twist and tape them thats how i have done it for my DD you dont waste any wire when u have to undo the connection becuse all u got to go is cut the tape and untwist them and TADA its like when u first striped them.

I had the same debate not long ago. Solder is the only way to go. Twist 'n' tape is some backyard shit.

don't know how its backyard shit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

but i just twist and tape. not once has it came undone.

k well when i was speaking of solder i was speaking of lead free, i didnt realize there was anything else =P every time ive went to buy it i could only find lead free //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Not sure how to wire this beast up ? Could anyone show me an actual picture of there HDC3 wired up. I know how to get the sub wired to 1 ohm but dont know how to "wire" it. Can someone with some insight help me out.
