Show me an inner dustcap

no but nauc he ment when yours was bottoming out.
does that sound like yours did when they were popping?

In the videos, it sounds bad the whole time.

In reality, it only does it when Im pushing it hard. Just wanted to clarify that the video sound isnt accurate.

hard to say, his vid is not very good

but id have to say no

his sounded like somethin was loose or rattling or even scrapping

mine was more a popping sound

indeed....
OR something wrong INSIDE the motor(i cannot see this however as ther eis no scraping sound) ..... then you taking the dustcap off wont matter :/

True.....

Its not like its a huge problem.....I just cant push them as hard as Id like.

I guess tomorrow I will take the dustcap off........if I do so, and post pics, can you guys point me in the direction of what all I need to check?

Not great with technical terms for sub parts.

yeah

if so, id say youre just pushing them too far

if not

one must be messed up

buzzy buzzy get out your hobby knife //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Actually to get mine off i used a little kinda dull jacknife.

A razor knife/xacto woudl be REALLY easy toslice the surround.

Even a butter knife would work, once you get the outside started it will pull off in one motion pretty much.

Well when you ge tthe dustcap off, in the center there will be a plastic circle with an X molded into it, that is the former cap (inner dustcap) check that around for a section that is loose, if you find a loose area take some goop or CA glue and glue it back tight.. put the sub in the box and try it after it dries.

If then ther eis no horrible noise, glue your dustcap back on

im telling you, this is what my MT did when it was misaligned, only way to fix it is recone, i hated it too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

im not saying its misaligned, just your description sounds like what mine did, it was fine at low volume, but anywhere up a little it crapped out on me

that would be it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
