So here's some battery terminals I made exclusively at home. Non CNC made...I manually made these. 1/2" threaded thru. Will be using them in my s10 once I replace the stock battery with a top post one.

How much cost of materials and time into those? I'd imagine paying 25$ a whack to toolmaker would have been far more sensible. Still they look good.

20 bucks for a 12 foot long bar. I've bought a few battery terminals from other places but not toolmaker.

Make some work with cap banks and I'd be very interested. Either a square with 4 slots like the battery terminal or a tube of aluminum that threads onto the post with a longer thread to stack more ring terminals on than the ~2-3 they fit originally

Can you give me an example?

it just has a hole the size of the stud and bolts on to the stud

or the 2nd option is just one of these that threads onto the stud, and allows you to stack more studs on it than the original short stud but i think a lathe would be easier than a mill

Yup def a perfect job for the lathe. Although, it can be done with a mill too.

There is nothing on those brackets that could have been done on a lathe. That's all mill work.
