Shouldnt 2 subs be MORE punchy?

I'm testing out an amp that I just got (old school Lanzar optidrive) and in testing it I thought I'd hook up both of my 10" JLw6v2's. Well....I've got them hooked up right (1 ohm load) and polarity is right...(checked with the old battery trick..made sure both speakers pushed out when 1.5v batter connected to leads , positive to positive). The sound is very muddy with no definition on the bass. Not punchy at all....

Any ideas? When I had both hooked up to my Profile msx600 it had more punch..and that wasnt driving enough power for 2 of them....

The "punchiness" of your subs is mostly determined by your enclosure...if you want a "punchy" sounding setup, a sealed enclosure with a relatively high Qtc (above .8) is the way to go.

Dirty power coming from the amp? If you simply changed amps without an enclosure change, you could be getting dirty power coming from the amp.
Yep, you got it. Just changed amps.

I think the amp is going back. Theres a blown channel anyway.
