Quick question. I'm thinking of replacing the two re xxx's I have with two Id Max to get a little more on the sq side. I am currently running the re's at 1 ohm on the orion 2500d. If I get Id maxes should I wire the amp at 1ohm or 2 ohms. The orion does:

1700@2ohm, and 2500@1ohm. I heard Id's can't take over 1 thousand watts/sub so I'm probably risking it with 2500. There is also the question of a better damping factor at 2ohms, will I notice it?

I have to know from the beggining the load on the amp so that I get the right coils on the subs-Ican't test that's why I need people's advice.

It's going to be installed in the recomended sealed box --1.3 ft3

I also doubt that I could smell it b4 it goes bad due to the fact that it is in the trunk and I have leather seats.
