Shorted my amp!!!

I was setting the gains for my amp when I accidentaly shorted the speaker wires on the output of the amps, Its just made spark and the sub made a thump noise.... I reconnected everything and the sound seemed ok... could my amp have been damaged just that I dont notice it yet? this is a JL Audio e6450 btw.
