I'll try to be brief ...

Had a system got rid of it because it was too loud ... 3 months go by and I decided I want a system again but didnt want to go through the hastle of installing after I just basically uninstalled my first one to factory (bought used so quick crack thinking I took it to chevy dealer asked them to check to see if previous owner had aftemarket installed, they said no) ... laziness gets the best of me and I take it to circuit city ... simple amp, cap, sub, component install ... go to pick it up and the key wont turn in the ignition ... they tell me its stuck and its a common problem in gm's which is probably true but hey obviously they did it ... that was last night and no car still today ... waiting on their phone call ...

what would you do?

Go to A Real Shop to Get Stuff installed..

To Bad for you you paid tomuch & Got F'ed in the A:furious://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

Have you tried turning the wheel and then starting it? (you know what I mean //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif LOL maybe they locked the wheel.................

Other than that, I fail to see how they can cause it to stick.

exact thought

my mom did that one time, she called me freaking out saying her steering wheel was broke..

I was an hour away and had to come tilt the wheel for her. heh.

this isnt a system problem......... this happend to my mom's sequoia... couldnt be more stock...... and the key got stuck, i tried everything! It was in park, key wouldnt turn, i tried moving the wheel, nothing worked! I took a spare key and it turned right on. I guess the regular key i was trying to use wasnt working but the spare did work.... do you have a spare? This might remedy it.... or try first putting another car key in 1st and then the regular key if you dont have a spare... wiggle the wheel a little...

The grooves on your key may be worn down.

Happened to me once... tried for over a half an hour... then took my spare key out of my wallet and it started right up. Compared the keys closely... and the original key looked horrible, and the grooves/ridges of the metal were worn down.

Same thing happened to me.

Truck wouldn't turn back into "acc" mode at all, but would turn forward fine. Got my (new) spare key, and went back easily.

The old key was completely worn and bent. I'm surprised it worked at all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
