How do you go about getting hired at caraudio shops??? I mean i know it must be knowledge of a wide range of products. But do you have to be able to fiberglass/ build boxes, or do you just have to able to install everything?

a lot of places will hire you even if you don't know how to do much, they will train you.

Most people that work at local shops here were avid customers or friends so its pretty tough.

At least have some common knowledge to start off a conversation with the people there.

Hang around there lots, help the guys out while you're there if they need a hand, make good friends with them, try to learn as much as you can.

if you have money open up your own shop. the only car audio shop around me the guy is a complete idiot and he still gets business. the guys working for him don't know what the hell ohms are.
